The Historic Maryland Wedding Venue Cloisters Castle is "known for its impressive architecture, boasting a four-story spiral stair tower, its own chapel and garden, multiple fireplaces and hand-painted murals. Most notably, it hosted Baltimore native Jada Pinkett-Smith and actor Will Smith’s wedding in 1997, and has also been featured on TV shows like “Ace of Cakes” and HBO’s “The Wire.” - The Baltimore Sun . This gothic manor house is made for Game of Thrones loving, historical geeks, and anyone who wants a gorgeous Baltimore Wedding Venue.
Bryan and Jill met in their freshman year of high school and have been together since. They make each other laugh after 16 years which I believe is number two (communication being number one) to have a lasting marriage. Bryan's sarcasm is dry and witty which kept us giggling throughout the day. The photos show how much fun these two have together and how much the people around them were happy to see their union. (finally)
They had a perfect spring wedding day to celebrate with their long time mutual friends and family. Jill's bridesmaids wore dusty pink dresses and carried gorgeous fragrant bouquets down the aisle. The flower girl had a moss purse full of flowers and she carted what I call a "flower baby" down the aisle in a adorable wagon. It was a beautiful garden wedding ceremony which transitioned into an elegant outdoor seated reception. This group knows how to party thanks to Jill's nursing buddies, her IND gals, and Brian's band mates. I love being a part of this group of friends now and to have the chance to photograph multiple weddings within the IND community.
There are endless artistic opportunities for wedding photographs and I have only skimmed the surface. I would love to see the library set up as a swanky bar or a very intimate ceremony space. It could be fun to do a styled shoot here so if any of my past clients want to play let me know!
Come see us at the open houses at Cloisters Castle in May, June, September and October! I am always looking for quirky engaged couples who I can explore the Cloisters with.
