We are so happy to wish Katie & Duncan a Happy One Year Anniversary!!! Since I am not a great blogger/social media person in general I thought it would be fun to do throwback posts to show off some of the amazing weddings we have photographed in the past. It was a perfectly fall crisp day at a artsy venue with a fun couple. They have a deep love their town of Charlotte so a destination wedding there made total sense. The Foundation for the Carolinas has large windows overlooking the city and was a perfect indoor wedding venue to show it off. We started off the day with a chilly first look between the two love birds walking around the city, but they didn’t care since they were snuggled up together. The venue has an epic living wall that of course I geeked out about and we did family photos in front of. Katie is my fourth IND bride and I was so happy when she contacted us to photograph her destination wedding. I loved the fall pallet that was throughout the whole wedding. The guys had orange bow ties and the girls got to choose their fall colored dresses. The flowers from Herr’s Fresh Flowers made the whole thing come together and the flowered archway over their Ceremony was stunning. The Reception was a rowdy one considering it was the IND crowd and we were able to dance with all our friends as well as photograph the wedding. They have recently bought a house together which is super exciting and I just saw them at Sara & Dani’s wedding…my fifth IND wedding. Thanks again to Katie & Duncan for sharing their day with us and we were so honored to be there to document it.
