Matt and Quinn are a really fun sporty couple! They met at the University of Maryland where they both work as coaches there, Matt for soccer and Quinn for Lacrosse. Quinn said it was “ Love at first kiss”. When asked what their favorite thing to do together she said “They both travel a ton for their jobs so any time together is their favorite”. The wedding was definitely one of those days together and I know they had a blast!
Backyard weddings in my top five of favorite wedding locations. I love the laid back feel of a tented wedding on the water where a couple can bring in all their vendors, caterers, and really customize the environment to exactly what they want. The tent had large tree branches coming up the middle with lanterns hanging in them. The ceremony was officiated by Matt’s father in front of a flowered archway with a wide planked dock overlooking the water in the background.
The light was perfect for the group photos!! For the wedding party photos we used an awesome white barn, an overturned boat, and the gorgeous dock! The ladies looked fantastic in their grey dresses with the pop of white flowers in front of them! Quinn’s natural/peaceful aesthetic really came out in her design for the whole wedding and the neutral tones were a perfect choice.
Relysh catering did an AMAZING job and the fish tacos rocked my world! I always love working with them because the food is so unique, creative, and obviously tasty. I recommend her to all my clients and I am so happy that Matt and Quinn chose them to cater their event! The customized crab mallet favors were used buy guests to enthusiastically pound on the tables to Matt and Quinn entered the reception.
Brian from MyDeejay always did a fantastic job getting people on the dance floor. I highly recommend this tall, fun, and professional guy for weddings! There was some ridiculous dance moments involving the tent poles and “that guy” at the wedding. You might be wondering who “that guy” is, but there is always one dude who dominates the dance floor because of his level of intoxication or his overconfidence in his dance moves. The night was a total success and I was so happy to be there as part of their family/friends for the day! Congrats you two and I hope we can see each other more in the future!
Thanks to the fantastic vendors that made this event unique and gorgeous!
